Update on Town’s Main Water Supply (Feb. 3, 2:45 p.m.)
Important Notice for All Residents on Town Services (i.e., not serviced by a well):
There is still no update regarding the test results of water samples. However, we are anticipating an update today (Tuesday, Feb. 3).
Round four of water pickup will take place today, Tuesday, February 3, at the HGVFB Fire Hall (8 Bannerman Street) from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. Again, this water is available to any households connected to Town services (i.e., not connected to a well). There is a limit of one case of water per household.
If any residents are unable to pick up water during this time, we encourage you to arrange pickup with your friends, family, or neighbours, if possible.
Please refrain from calling the HGVFB’s emergency line (709-596-5151). This line is for EMERGENCIES ONLY and NOT for inquiries related to water.
We appreciate that this situation is stressful for everyone, including staff and volunteers. As a reminder, please be respectful of our staff and volunteers. We will not tolerate abuse.
