The Town of Harbour Grace has been made aware of reports of aggressive coyote sightings on Harbour Grace South.
To protect your pets, the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture recommend removing potential food sources; erecting boundary fencing; storing garbage in an area coyotes cannot access; and cleaning up after your pets.
If you encounter a coyote, the Department recommends keeping your distance, making noise, slowly backing away, and never running or turning your back.
