Community Consultation Survey: Strategic Plan Update

The Town of Harbour Grace is currently holding consultations regarding an update to its strategic plan, Let Yourself In 2032, which outlined our community’s vision for the next 10 years.

We are interested in residents’ input regarding the strategic plan. The following online survey was developed to provide feedback on progress to date. From this feedback and ongoing consultations, the Town will adjust the strategic plan where necessary to meet community needs.

We believe community ownership is vitally important – this is your vision, your plan. Please complete the survey form below if you’re invested in our future:

Alternatively, print copies of the survey are available at the Town Hall and can be arranged for pickup by calling (709) 596-3631 ext. 4. Copies can be downloaded on our website here, printed at home, and delivered to the Town Hall as well.

The deadline to complete the survey is Tuesday, November 12, 2024, end of the day. Print copies should be delivered by 4:30 p.m. on this date.

What is a strategic plan and why is it important?

Strategic plans are living documents that establish direction and measurable objectives. A successful strategic plan guides and shapes change in an identified timeline by setting clear expectations, actionable items, responsibilities, and measures.

Will a strategic plan be another document to sit on a shelf or folder on a computer?

No! Strategic plans are living documents for organizations: They help guide decision-making and are referenced often.

A successful strategic plan represents input from stakeholders and includes a well-defined, step by step document that is realistic, achievable, and utilizes the resources, staff, and support of stakeholders.
