Re: Appreciation for Support During the Recent Water Issue
On behalf of the Council and Mayor of the Town of Harbour Grace, we extend our sincere appreciation to the many individuals, organizations, and residents who provided invaluable support during the town’s recent water issue.
We wish to formally acknowledge and commend our inside staff and outside staff for their professionalism, dedication, and tireless efforts throughout this challenging period. Their commitment ensured that public safety remained at the forefront of every decision made.
Council also expresses its gratitude to Harbour Grace Ocean Industries, Atlantic Grocery Distributing, and the Conception Bay North Joint Council for their cooperation, assistance, and willingness to step forward when support was most needed. Your contributions played a meaningful role in helping the town respond effectively to this unprecedented situation. We also extend our thanks to MHA Pam Parsons, MHA Riley Balsom and Minister Chris Tibbs for their advocacy, guidance, and continued support of the Town of Harbour Grace during this time. Special and heartfelt recognition must be given to the Harbour Grace Volunteer Fire Brigade.
Once again, they went above and beyond in service to our community, responding with unwavering dedication, professionalism, and compassion. In times of emergency, the Volunteer Fire Brigade consistently rises to the occasion, taking time from their families and this situation was no exception. Words cannot adequately express our gratitude for their selfless service – truly, we cannot say thank you enough.
Finally, Council wishes to thank the residents of Harbour Grace for their patience, understanding, and respect throughout this difficult period. Your cooperation allowed Council and staff the opportunity to demonstrate that the safety and well-being of our community is, and will always remain, our number one priority. Together, through respect and collaboration we will move ahead stronger than ever.
