EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: PERMANENT SEASONAL FACILITY MANAGER
The Town of Harbour Grace is seeking a person to fill the position of Facility Manager (Permanent Seasonal) for the Danny Cleary Harbour Grace Community Centre.
This job requires an individual who has a diverse set of skills and a broad understanding of the management of recreation facilities. Since this individual is entrusted with the responsibility of turning this facility into a long-term, viable community asset, a strong business background and/or knowledge and experience in successfully managing a similar recreational facility would be a definite asset.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution in Business Administration and/or Accounting.
- Several years’ experience in a management position or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working in a public sector environment with unionized employees is considered an asset
- Experience in event planning.
- Familiarity with ice maintenance and refrigeration would be an asset.
- A valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
- Driver’s abstract and a Certificate of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector are conditions of employment.
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
